Dropping in on White

Summer whites-5

Breathe…life has been busy. I finally finished the Australian tour of my show, our house sold and we moved out this weekend (and luckily I am have been taken in temporarily by my cousin) and as this posts I am having elbow surgery so will be having some forced time off work. I am just hoping I can still type!

But what keeps me happy is that Summer is here! Well southern hemispehere anyway. Anyone following me on Instagram knows I have a love affair with these MLM pants. Summer staple. It took me awhile getting into anything drop crotch (hello MC Hammer) but working with a bunch of uber cool performers kind of made me start to feel that I could pull them off too (I love them even if I can’t!). I think mixing them with a nude strappy heel would make a fun evening look too.

I am half way through my Oz tour and loving it. I could do with another couple weeks in each city so I could spend more time with family and friends but I’m not complaining. Last week I was in Brisbane. Busy, busy, busy. But the memories were amazing.

My work team decided to take this city to socialize and do a team dinner at South Bank. I thought this Sass and Bide Dress fitted the occasion perfectly. Perfect combination of Maxi dress with a twist. I bought it on sale earlier in the season and loving it. Mixing it with these sandals added  fun and comfort for a warm spring night.

Currently I travel about once per week for my job. I am not complaining but often its difficult to have the motivation to travel and look somewhat stylish. I am guilty of pulling out the sneakers or flip flops with my most comfy jeans or Lululemon pants (You can never go wrong with Lulu). So on this day in Japan I tried to find a balance of travel friendly attire and a touch of style. I did not focus my outfit around this Neon Steve Madden Satchel but added it as a last minute attempt to get away from my usual travel bag by Freitag (which I love). But as you can see by the photos, the bag seemed to make the whole outfit POP. Do you have a favorite bag that makes an outfit?
